It has been a very busy offseason for the New England Patriots after winning their fifth Super Bowl. They were able to navigate free agency and the NFL Draft rather well, and they are in a position to repeat as Super Bowl champions.
As a great organization, the Patriots are always looking ahead. Even though the Patriots still had center David Andrews under contract, they decided to avoid what could have been a messy situation as a restricted free agent.
The two sides agreed to a three-year, $9 million extension. Andrews will be entering his third season with the Patriots, but he has already proven to be a solid starter for New England.
