Of the national NFL analysts, nobody would seem to be more plugged into the Patriots quarterback room than Michael Lombardi.
A confidant of Bill Belichick, Lombardi worked on his staff from 2014-2016, and his son, Mick, is currently an assistant quarterbacks coach. On his GM shuffle podcast, Lombardi pushed back against Todd McShay’s comments that Jarrett Stidham isn’t ready to lead the Patriots.
“We’re learning that because people are on television, me included, there is a sense of opinion," Lombardi said, via WEEI.com. “Todd is giving his opinion. He has every right to give his opinion because ESPN pays him for his opinion.
