After making a Division II player their top draft pick, the New England Patriots are giving two receivers from Division III and the Championship Subdivision a chance.
The Patriots officially added Mason Kinsey and Kristian Wilkerson to their practice squad replacing J.J. Taylor and Cassh Maluia, who were both promoted to the 53-man active roster. Both players spent training camp with the Tennessee Titans.
Kinsey is trying to be a rare player to go from Division III to the NFL. In his final three seasons at Berry College in Georgia, he caught 194 passes for 3,242 yards and 49 touchdowns.
