Heading into Super Bowl XLIX, the Patriots were getting crushed in the court of public opinion. There were a pair of reports claiming they'd significantly deflated footballs in the AFC Championship game, and outside of New England, it seemed that everybody was pointing a finger at the Patriots.
A year later, national pundits are singing a different tune when it comes to Deflategate.
The latest development in the saga came yesterday, when the NFL announced it would not be releasing any of the data from the PSI tests they conducted across the league in 2015. Commissioner Roger Goodell dubbed them "spot checks" not a research study, and said everybody passed.
