Nate Ebner grew up playing rugby. It’s in his blood, or as he put it yesterday, it’s in his veins.
The sport was an important piece of his childhood and provided some of his most cherished memories of his late father Jeff, who was the victim of a senseless robbery a little more than seven years ago.
The Patriots safety and special teams player was introduced to the sport by his father when he was 6. His dad had played at the University of Minnesota and continued into adulthood with several Ohio-based rugby clubs. He was a huge inspiration behind Ebner’s love of the game.
