According to Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald, multiple teams during the offseason and even as recently as last week have contacted the Patriots and expressed interest in a potential trade for RB Dion Lewis.
However, Howe says that New England has resisted the trade interest up to this point. Even so, Howe mentions that it’s possible the Patriots could change their minds on Lewis as the trade deadline draws closer.
Howe stresses that New England hasn’t been shopping Lewis around and the interest is coming from the other teams.
Lewis, 26, is a former fifth-round pick of the Eagles back in 2011.
