Morning sports update: Tom Brady is good at everything — except trash talking

The Red Sox completed a three-game sweep of the Toronto Blue Jays at Fenway Park Thursday night, inching them closer to the AL East title. J.D. Martinez notched his 41st homer of the season, tying league leader Khris Davis. After losing their two-run lead in the eighth, the Sox rallied in the bottom of the frame to tie the score, 3-3. Xander Bogaerts got the wheels rolling when he stole third and scored the winning run on an error to get the 4-3 win, Boston’s 101st of the year.

The Red Sox are back at Fenway tonight, hosting the New York Mets for the first of a three-game series.
