Sure, there are more exciting scenarios possible. But NFL Draft analyst Todd McShay thinks the New England Patriots are going to go the safe route and take LSU tackle Will Campbell.
McShay, a former ESPN analyst who sat alongside Mel Kiper Jr. for years, broke down the most recent version of his mock draft on his podcast, The McShay Show. He said that Campbell would be a “safe” pick for New England.
McShay’s guest, Steve Muench, argued the notion that Campbell is a safe pick, saying that the LSU product’s tape is “good” but not “great” going against stiff competition in the SEC.
