Milton Williams ready for increased workload along Patriots defensive line

Over his four years with the Philadelphia Eagles, defensive lineman Milton Williams never played over 50 percent of the team’s defensive snaps in a season.

After signing a four-year, $104 million contract with the New England Patriots in free agency, that will soon change.

“I hope you want to play more than they played in Philadelphia,” head coach Mike Vrabel said on Thursday as the team introduced Williams. “And I know that you guys are extremely successful but we want to play him a little bit more than that and hope we can do that.
