Mike Gesicki regrets not ‘leaving more of a mark’ on the Patriots offense in 2023

Mike Gesicki was one of the top tight ends available in free agency last year, and the New England Patriots were able to scoop him up on a one-year, $4.5 million contract. But while there was initial optimism about the potential impact he would have on the team’s offense, he never quite found his footing.

Gesicki ended up seeing action in all 17 games with 10 starts, but he was on the field for only around half of the team’s offensive snaps and had one of the worst statistical seasons of his career. In total, he ended the year with 29 catches for 244 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
