Since moving outside to offensive tackle in Week 7, Mike Onwenu put together a strong stretch of play to finally provide the New England Patriots some stability at the position. That was until Khalil Mack came to town in Week 13.
The veteran pass rusher gave Onwenu trouble along the edge for the first time this season, as he allowed a sack and four hurries en route to a season-high five quarterback pressures. Onwenu knew it was not his best performance.
“I felt myself just playing out of character [against the Chargers]. Not really trusting myself on blocks,” Onwenu explained.
