In New England’s first bout against Miami this season, New England put on one of its sloppiest performances of the season, losing to the Tua Tagovailoa-less Dolphins, 15-10.
At one point in that Week 5 game, the Patriots had more penalty yards than passing yards, 89-70, and Jacoby Brissett was 18 of 34 for 160 yards passing.
Unlike the last go-around, they’ll be up against Tagovailoa, who missed four games — including Week 5 against the Patriots — with a concussion. In the four games he missed, the Dolphins averaged 10 points per game. Since he returned in Week 8 against the Cardinals, they are averaging 28.
