FOXBOROUGH — Before he was an MVP, Matthew Judon faced off with Lamar Jackson on the Ravens practice field.
Jackson didn’t start as a rookie in Baltimore — it was Joe Flacco’s gig — but he put on a show as the scout team quarterback. On Thursday afternoon, Judon recalled “fun” sessions trying to get after the ridiculously fast quarterback, and said he quickly knew media concerns about Jackson’s ability to throw in the pocket were overblown.
“We had to defend him at practice, so we knew what it was and what he had and what it’d look like if he had the starting job,” Judon said.
