FOXBORO — The Patriots finished up their 13th training camp practice -- the final open one here -- this morning. They practiced in shorts and shells during a mostly light 90-minute workout behind Gillette Stadium. Here are the Herald's observations:
- Alan Branch made his first appearance of the summer as he participated in drills, which indicates the defensive tackle has been removed from the physically unable to perform list.
- Five players were absent from Monday's practice: special teamers Matthew Slater and Brandon King, linebacker Shea McClellin, tight end Matt Lengel and tackle Tony Garcia.
