FOXBORO — Wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell wasn’t present for practice today, which is the deadline for the Patriots to activate him from injured reserve. They’ve got until 4 p.m. to make the move, but his third absence from practice in the past two weeks would suggest that probably won’t be the case.
Cornerback Jonathan Jones was the only player from the 53-man roster who wasn’t in attendance. He was injured late in the fourth quarter Saturday when the Patriots beat the Titans. What’s more, the Pats added a new player (possibly Bernard Reedy) and had a full practice squad for the workout, so it would appear Jones has been placed on injured reserve.
