BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — The comparison makes itself.
In a way, it’s almost as if Devin McCourty is a triplet, instead of a twin. There’s Devin. There’s his brother Jason McCourty of the Cleveland Browns. And there’s his symbolic brother, Malcolm Jenkins of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Both McCourty and Jenkins hail from New Jersey and graduated in 2005 from high school programs — McCourty from St. Joseph Regional and Jenkins from Piscataway Regional — that regularly churn out top-level talent. Both players display a socially-conscious and community-oriented focus in a variety of ways. Both are captains and noted leaders in their locker rooms.
