Though Mac Jones may not have the raw tools of his fellow first-round quarterbacks, Charlie Weis thinks New England is a logical landing spot.
His reasoning is simple: All Jones does is win games. As a junior, Jones led to Crimson Tide to an undefeated season and National Championship, completing an NCAA record 77.4% of his passes.
“What are the two most important components of a star quarterback? They have the ‘it’ factor. And they’re accurate. That’s who he was,” Weis said on Sirius XM radio.
The former Patriots offensive coordinator went more in depth with ESPN’s Mike Reiss over the weekend.
