T Sebastian Vollmer told SiriusXM radio on Tuesday that he plans on retiring from the NFL.
The New England Patriots drafted Vollmer in the second round in 2009, he spent his entire career – tallying 6,158 offensive snaps – with New England.
Vollmer saw at least 1,000 offensive snaps in three separate seasons, with a career-high of 1,261 snaps in 2012. That season he ranked 10th out of 75 qualified tackles with an 86.4 overall grade.
Vollmer’s most impressive play came as a rookie in 2009.
