ORCHARD PARK - As much as it might drive Buffalo Bills fans crazy, the reality is this: The New England Patriots are now in possession of the top seed in the AFC playoff standings when they walk into Highmark Stadium Monday night.
The Patriots, Ravens, Chiefs and Titans are all tied with 8-4 records and are leading their respective divisions, but because of the way the tiebreakers fall, New England technically sits in the No. 1 position.
Yep. Tom Brady is long gone, but the Patriots are not, and the Bills badly need to win this Monday Night Football showdown because if they don’t, it’s going to be awfully difficult for them to overtake New England in the final five weeks.
