The Patriots have to get from 75 players down to 53 by 4 p.m. Saturday. However, LeGarrette Blount's one-game suspension will drop them to 74 tomorrow at 4 p.m.
3:28 p.m.: The Patriots have released wide receiver Reggie Wayne, according to ESPN. This is a stunner. This gets them to 63 players.
The Pats gave Wayne a $450,000 signing bonus last week, and that's a serious amount of money for a player they expected to make the team.
