ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) -- The Detroit Lions have claimed defensive tackle Khyri Thornton off waivers Saturday, two days after he was cut by New England.
Thornton has not played in an NFL game. He was drafted in the third round by Green Bay in 2014.
Thornton had 5 1/2 sacks in four seasons at Southern Mississippi. The Patriots claimed him off waivers from Green Bay earlier this year.
