FOXBORO -- Wide receiver Leonard Hankerson confirmed the Patriots have a far different offensive system than the one used by Falcons offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan.
Considering the Falcons have averaged 13.7 points per game in their last seven outings, that’s probably a good thing.
But considering Hankerson is essentially eight months behind the other receivers on the Patriots’ roster, there’s no time to waste while trying to catch up to speed.
“It’s a totally different system than what I was in, so you’ve got to come in and work hard,” Hankerson said today. “You’ve got to get the playbook down, know what you’re doing and be on top of your stuff.
