LeGarrette Blount, Patriots hold up their end of the bargain

PITTSBURGH -- LeGarrette Blount and the New England Patriots did their part. The Buffalo Bills did not.

Next Sunday’s game between the Patriots and Bills in Orchard Park could have been for first place in the AFC East, as the hype already seemed to be building early last week. But with the Bills losing on the road Sunday to the Miami Dolphins to have their four-game winning streak snapped, and Blount’s happy homecoming to Pittsburgh helping the Patriots to a hard-fought 27-16 victory over the Steelers, first place won’t be on the line.

The Patriots, who relied on Blount to help settle things down when things got shaky in the second half, sit alone atop the AFC East at 6-1.
