FOXBORO -- Running back LeGarrette Blount's season is officially over, as the Patriots placed him on injured reserve today with a hip injury.
The Patriots were busy in the personnel department today. They claimed wide receiver Leonard Hankerson from the Falcons and tackle LaAdrian Waddle from the Lions. To make room, the Pats also released wide receiver Damaris Johnson.
Hankerson was well on his way to the best season of his career with 26 catches for 327 yards and three touchdowns with the Falcons, but he has been plagued by a hamstring injury. He opened the year with 22 receptions for 291 yards and two scores in his first six games but suffered a hamstring injury in Week 7 and missed two games before returning in Week 11.
