Ja’Whaun Bentley reacted to his release from the New England Patriots with a goodbye message to the team on social media.
"New England !! Thank You for Everything !! It’s Been a Blessing," Bentley posted on X.
Bentley had a long and storied career with the Patriots. He appeared in two games last season, before suffering a torn pectoral muscle. He recorded 12 tackles and half a sack on the year.
The Patriots drafted him with the 143rd overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft. He recorded 509 total tackles, 10.
