You could almost see what Tom Brady was thinking when he was sitting on the U.S. Bank Stadium turf after the football was literally ripped out of his hands — along with his best remaining chance at a sixth Super Bowl win — by Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham.
He was shocked and disappointed. Because unlike so many times before, Brady wouldn’t get the chance to engineer a potential game-tying drive for the Patriots.
That expression of disbelief from Brady and the following sequence of plays that sealed the Eagles’ victory were crushing blows to a Patriots dynasty that feels like it’s down to its last few chances at padding an already unmatched legacy.
