Jerod Mayo has made it clear his football team will run the ball. His strategy worked in Week 1, as the New England Patriots’ run game carried them to an upset victory.
In Week 2, New England again found success on the ground running for 185 yards on 36 carries. But, the scoreboard did not follow as key plays could not be made in the air when needed, as Jacoby Brissett threw for just 32 yards in the second half.
It resulted in the Seattle Seahawks leaving Gillette Stadium with a 23-20 overtime victory.
