LA Chargers drop QB Clemens, K Lambo in final cutdowns

COSTA MESA, Calif. — The Los Angeles Chargers have released backup quarterback Kellen Clemens and waived kicker Josh Lambo during their final roster cutdowns for the regular season.

The Chargers also released running back Kenjon Barner on Saturday.

Undrafted free agent Younghoe Koo has won the Chargers' kicking job over Lambo, the former soccer goalkeeper who kicked in San Diego for the past two seasons. Lambo made 26 of his 32 field goal attempts in each of his two NFL seasons.

Clemens has been Philip Rivers' seldom-used backup for the past three seasons with the Chargers, attempting just 10 total passes.
