While the Patriots have stumbled to a 3-11 record so far in Jerod Mayo’s first season as head coach, it doesn’t appear they’ll be looking for a replacement in the near future.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Robert and Jonathan Kraft believe Mayo is the right man for the job.
“The Krafts want to keep Jerod Mayo,” Rapoport said. “They believe he is the leader for their organization for their future. They knew it would be a multi-year process to get this thing right.”
Rapoport said that is their stance right now. If things were to go “off the rails,” or the Patriots were to “really struggle,” or if Mayo loses the locker room in the final weeks, it could turn.
