Kevin Faulk elected to Patriots Hall of Fame

When Patriots owner Robert Kraft phoned Kevin Faulk with news he was the team’s 2016 Hall of Fame inductee, the running back was doing something that kept him in the NFL for 13 seasons.

“I was in a very, very familiar place,” said Faulk, who won a fan vote against fellow finalists Raymond Clayborn and Mike Vrabel. “I was in the weight room.”

During his time in Foxboro, it was that work ethic that molded Faulk into one of the league’s premier third-down backs.

But at first, he wasn’t thrilled with the role. The competitive Faulk was the second-leading rusher in SEC history when he was drafted by the Patriots in 1999 out of LSU.
