In the 2024 NFL draft, the New England Patriots traded back in the second round and used the 37th overall pick to select wide receiver Ja'Lynn Polk out of Washington.

All reports on Polk coming out of the school were about his maturity and his ability to be a possession receiver at the next level.

However, through 13 weeks of his rookie season, Polk's production has been disappointing. In 12 games played, he's been on the field for 51% of the team's offensive snaps and has caught just 12 passes for 87 yards and two touchdowns.
