A day after telling reporters he’s “definitely accountable” for violating the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing substances, Julian Edelman took to social media to apologize to those he affected.
The Patriots wide receiver, who missed all of last season with a torn ACL, is suspended for the first four games of this year. He has elected not to share what substance led to the positive test, but he acknowledged he can’t make the same mistake again, according to a report.
On Saturday, Edelman said, “It’s disappointing with the penalty and the findings.” The following day, in an Instagram post, he expressed his regret once more.
