ATLANTA — Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman and his social media team have been quite active ahead of Super Bowl Sunday, posting three hype videos in the days leading up to the 6:30 p.m. kickoff against the Los Angeles Rams.
The first was a spoof of the opening credits for “Growing Pains,” a television series that aired in the late ’80s and early ’90s. Titled “Growing Pats 2,” Edelman’s rendition was “created by” team owner Robert Kraft, “introduced” cornerback Jason McCourty, and starred himself, tight end Rob Gronkowski, quarterback Tom Brady, and safety Devin McCourty. For each player, the clip showed an assortment of photos and highlights from childhood, high school, college, and the NFL.
