NEW YORK - Tom Brady and the NFL had their first meeting with federal Judge Richard Berman on Wednesday with the judge delivering pointed questions to both sides before sending the parties into more settlement talks under his supervision.
Berman told the NFL and Brady today he has not yet made up his mind about the case.
"I think there are varying strengths and weaknesses to both sides,” he said.
Berman spent most of a public hearing this morning that lasted more than an hour parsing through the Wells Report - the basis for the NFL’s four-game suspension that Brady is now challenging - and quizzing attorneys.
