Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels seemed to pull out everything from his bag of tricks during one second quarter sequence during Sunday's loss to the Jets. Everything from a flea flicker, to a couple of reverse plays, to a wildcat play with Brandon Bolden taking the direct snap. He went all-gadget to try and jump-start a struggling offense.
McDaniels, however, says that's not how the Patriots plan on moving the ball and getting out of their current offensive funk.
“You’ll never win a game running a bunch of trick plays and those kinds of things as the primary method of moving the ball and scoring points.
