Josh Kline no longer part of New England Patriots trade, reportedly released Wednesday morning

After failing to trade Josh Kline to the Eagles, the New England Patriots will waive the veteran offensive lineman, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

It was originally reported that Kline was part of a deal to bring defensive back Eric Rowe to New England, but he was later dropped from the trade. The Pats acquired Rowe for what will be either a third-round or fourth-round draft pick, per multiple reports.

Kline was a starter for the Pats a year ago, and perhaps their top interior offensive lineman. He was awarded a contract extension in November, receiving a reported $750,000 signing bonus.
