New England Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez played in just four games his rookie season before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury. But it was plenty of time to get a look at his potential.
“He has every attribute that you want in the corner,” veteran cornerback Jonathan Jones said Wednesday. “He’s just continuing to build his mental game. Physically, he’s what you want in a corner, and he’s just continuing developing. He’s going to be one of the best players in the game.”
The 17th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Gonzalez comes with an elite combination of size and athleticism at the cornerback position.
