The NFL’s game of coaching musical chairs is plenty active, and the Jets still are looking for someone to take their seat.
It won’t be Mike Vrabel, who interviewed with New York but decided to return to the rival New England Patriots. It also won’t be Ben Johnson, who is leaving Detroit but staying in the NFC North to coach Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears.
One of Johnson’s most noteworthy colleagues with the Lions, however, might be the leading candidate to occupy the top of the totem pole in the Meadowlands.
