Jets Laughably Sign Patriots Castoff Lineman After Failed Season

Chukwuma Okorafor had enough of the New England Patriots after only one game.

But the veteran offensive lineman ultimately decided he isn’t done with his football career just yet.

The New York Jets picked up Okorafor off the free-agent market on Wednesday, per the league’s transaction wire. Details of Okorafor’s deal were not revealed.

Okorafor’s time with the Patriots was bizarre. He started New England’s season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals, but was pulled after 12 snaps and wasn’t seen from again. Okorafor left the team following that game and the Patriots placed him on the exempt/left squad list.
