New England Patriots quarterback Jacoby Brissett played just one series in the preseason finale Sunday night.
The early pull was the plan in place — not due to the heavy hit Brissett took on a first-down sack by Washington Commanders edge rusher K.J. Henry, that appeared to leave the QB’s right shoulder in some discomfort.
“No, that was the plan. We were going to play Jacoby a series or two and get Drake in. He would have been able to continue,” head coach Jerod Mayo said post game. “I talked to him. We’ll see tomorrow.
