New England Patriots coach Jerod Mayo summed up the feelings of players and fans alike, following the team’s 23-20 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
The Patriots battled with the Seahawks throughout the game and even led at multiple points. However, quarterback Geno Smith and the Seahawks' offense battled back with a game-winning drive in overtime to pick up the victory.
It was a frustrating day for Mayo, who suffered the first loss of his head coaching career. He summed up his feelings succinctly following the game.
"That one hurts," said Mayo, via ESPN's Mike Reiss.
