The Patriots defense, fresh off its most impressive performance of the season in the win over the Bears, could soon get one its most talented players back on the field for the first time in months.
Christian Barmore, New England’s 25-year-old defensive tackle, has been out since July when he was diagnosed with blood clots. No timetable was set for Barmore’s return at the time, and the team was reportedly “bracing” for him to miss the entire season in September.
Yet on Wednesday, Patriots’ head coach Jerod Mayo dropped a conspicuous statement regarding the return timetables of players who are currently out.
