Jerod Mayo provided an update on Patriots rookie QB Drake Maye’s status after concussion

After leaving the Patriots’ eventual win over the Jets on Sunday with a concussion, it appears Drake Maye could return to the field for New England’s next game on Nov. 3 against the Titans.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo revealed that the 22-year-old Maye remains in the concussion protocol.

“Drake is in the protocol,” said Mayo. “He will be a limited participant today in practice. So in saying that, yeah he will throw the ball at times in practice today, but he will be limited.”

Patriots fans can breath a sigh of relief that Maye is able to at least be back on the practice field.
