Two years into his NFL career, Tyquan Thornton appears to be at a crossroads. The former second-round draft pick has yet to make the desired impact on the New England Patriots offense, and he could very well be on borrowed time under a new coaching staff.
However, he will get an opportunity this summer to showcase himself and convince the team of his value. And if Jerod Mayo is to be believed, there is still value to be found in the 23-year-old.
“Tyquan is one of those guys — physically he has all the tools,” the Patriots’ head coach told reporters ahead of his team’s first training camp practice on Wednesday.
