Jason McCourty’s reaction to NFL teams passing on Bill Belichick: On Thursday, the Washington Commanders reportedly agreed to hire Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn to be the team’s next head coach.
With that, there are currently no remaining head coach opening across the NFL. Bill Belichick, initially seen as a singularly valued coaching candidate, was not given a new job following his Patriots departure.
The news of Belichick not getting one of the available coaching positions has been greeted with surprise across the NFL. That includes football analyst and host Rich Eisen, as well as former Patriots defensive back Jason McCourty.
