Auburn University head coach Gus Malzahn told NESN.com that Jarrett Stidham “is like a coach" in his approach to the quarterback position.
Malzahn coached Stidham at Auburn where the QB completed 470 of 739 passes (64%) for 5,952 yards, 36 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 27 games combined in 2017-18.
Jarrett Stidham and Brian Hoyer are expected to compete for the Patriots’ 2020 starting QB job. The Patriots selected Stidham in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
“He came in here, and he’s like a gym rat," Malzahn told NESN.
