Veteran offensive lineman James Ferentz reverted to the New England Patriots’ practice squad after serving as a standard elevation Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys, according to the NFL transaction wire.
Ferentz played all 54 snaps at left guard for New England in what became a 35-29 overtime loss at Gillette Stadium. The 32-year-old Iowa product would be responsible for one quarterback pressure and one holding penalty that nullified a touchdown.
It marked the second start of the season for Ferentz, who was called up as a Covid-19 replacement for Mike Onwenu the previous week versus the Houston Texans and stayed in for all 64 snaps.
