Last week, NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe reported that the New England Patriots attempted to move around at the end of the first round of the 2024 NFL draft to target a wideout but were unable to secure a trade.
Now, we know who New England appeared to be targeting.
According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the Patriots were attempting to trade up to draft South Carolina's Xavier Legette.
Legette, 23, was Second-team All-SEC in 2023 for the Gamecocks, and in his five seasons at the school, he totaled 113 receptions for 1,678 yards and 12 touchdowns.
