FOXBORO — Rookie quarterback Jacoby Brissett has already had a pair of Super Bowl champions as teachers.
Brissett played a season in Charlie Weis’ offense at Florida, and grew into an NFL-caliber player under the tutelage of his mentor, Bill Parcells.
Now that he’s graduated to the classroom of six-time Lombardi Trophy winner Bill Belichick, Brissett has one objective.
“To learn as much as I can,” Brissett said.
That became a familiar refrain for the third-round draft pick out of North Carolina State yesterday at Gillette Stadium. During his six-minute media crush, Brissett used the words “learn” or “learning” 18 times.
