Running backs coach Ivan Fears indicated he was pleased at how hard the backs were working, and how they were progressing at this stage of the offseason.
Just don’t ask him for any evaluations at this point. Shorts and t-shorts don’t do it for him.
“I ain’t talking about anybody in shorts and t-shirts,” Fears said. “If they don’t look good in shorts and t-shirts, we got a problem. We got a real problem.”
Fears got more to the point when asked about second-year back James White, who is in the battle to replace third-down back Shane Vereen.
